Language barriers are not the only thing that my business is focused on tackling. The ‘cultural guidance’ that Sekreve JP-NL Support offers refers to everything that does not fall under my core services of interpreting and translating. Knowledge of the cultural differences that exist between Japan and the Netherlands is essential for a smooth and pleasant cooperation between these two countries. Providing communicative support as an intermediary between Dutch and Japanese parties is one of my specialties.
By placing myself in the shoes of the people that I work with and by adjusting to their cultural background effectively, I am able to give everyone just that little extra feeling of familiarity. In practice, I am often able to adjust the course of events to fit the cultural context of the involved parties. As manners and customs tend to differ among cultures, I actively adapt in situations to make sure that both parties are provided with a form of communication that matches the values and business norms that they are familiar with.
My cultural support can take on many forms, such as the following:
